(31) Days of Good: Day 20

Blue Hawaii tells the story of a lush paradise. The way begins ambient and uncertain, but beautiful white shell beaches and carefree sunshine parties await and nourish those travelers with love in their hearts; their peace thus raised above the arguments found along the rocky road. The duo consists of Raph and Agor; they use voice, guitars, synths, drum machines, and other electronics to create a kind of tropical-pop with love ache melodies and experimental club rhythms. Brooklyn-based duo, Matt & Kim, released their third full length this year. Like the past two albums, Sidewalks is complete with simplistic lyrics, synth melodies, shouty singing, and the band's gleefully spazzy sound...everything we love about Matt & Kim.

Hype Machine Radio

If you haven't already, go check out the Hype Machine Radio Show.

Every month, the good people at Hype Machine put together a "showcase of the hottest music and bloggers from around the world". I started listening to the shows about three or four months ago and every show introduces me to new music (including the tracks below) and blogs. You can stream each show online or simply download the shows for future enjoyment (they're great for long car trips).

Needless to say, i've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off for the last month or so. However, things finally seem to be slowing down which means I should have more time to focus on sharing the music I love with the masses.

To kick things off, here are some tunes to help get your weekend started:
